WELCOME TO BEYOND BEING

Beyond Being Inc. was started by two moms who are also therapist coaches, and who wanted a place where the real stuff of motherhood could be said out loud: the identity shifts, the changing relationships, the love that is bigger than anything, and the days that leave you running on fumes.

Today that place has a few doors. The Becoming Therapy Collective offers virtual therapy for women across Massachusetts. Beyond Being Mamas Coaching supports moms anywhere. Around both, we are building community and a shop made for moms. It all grows from one idea we call Rooted Motherhood ™.

Wherever you are, from fertility and pregnancy through postpartum, parenting, and perimenopause, we are glad you found us. Come as you are.

WHY WE BUILT BEYOND BEING INC.

As therapist coaches and moms, we built Beyond Being because we lived what we now help other moms through.

Michelle’s son was born at 25 weeks and spent five months in the NICU. In that time she learned what it means to function, to parent, and to keep going while your body stays in a constant state of alert, because the alternative feels unbearable.

Monica’s story looks different and lands in the same place. While she was pregnant with her first child, her father had a massive heart attack and nearly did not survive it. He did. Then, in the months right before she became a mother for the first time, her parents, first-time grandparents themselves, moved a plane ride away. She lost the version of new motherhood she thought she would have, the one with them close, steady, and present. It affected her more than she understood at the time, and more than she fully realized until just a few years ago.

Neither of us had the support we needed when we needed it. We needed more than therapy alone, more than a quick tip, more than information. We needed real, embodied support and real connection, and it did not exist the way we needed it. So we built it.

That is why Beyond Being is more than one thing. We set out to build the full support system we wish someone had handed us, and it took more than one format to do it.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Honesty + Belonging
Motherhood has hard parts and beautiful parts, and both deserve to be said out loud. Here, you can be honest and still be held.

Roots + Becoming
Rooted Motherhood ™ is about finding steady ground in the middle of change, so you have something solid to grow from.

Whole Person + Whole Season
We look at all of you: your mind, your body, your relationships, and the season of life you are in.

MEET THE FOUNDERS

Monica Leger, LMFT

Co-Founder, Beyond Being Inc.

Monica is a licensed psychotherapist, a certified life coach, a mom, and co-founder of Beyond Being Inc. She knows what it is to lose the version of new motherhood you pictured, and after more than 15 years in mental health, the work that feels most like home is walking with women and mothers through pregnancy, parenting, and the relationship changes that come after kids. Her approach is relational. She believes change begins when women reconnect with who they really are and build a life that reflects what matters most to them.

Outside of work, Monica loves time with family and friends, travel, and adventure, and she lives by the same intention she encourages in the women she works with.

Credentials: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) | Certified Life Coach

Michelle Lima (Forni), LMHC

Co-Founder, Beyond Being Inc.

Michelle is a licensed mental health counselor, a mom of two, and co-founder of Beyond Being Inc. Her son’s five months in the NICU taught her what it takes to keep going when your body won’t stand down, and that shapes how she shows up for other moms. She brings nearly a decade of experience supporting women through the big shifts of pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood. Her approach is holistic and person-centered, and she loves walking with women who want more compassion for themselves along the way. She is also a contributing author in the children’s book Brave Kids Vol. 3.

Outside of work, Michelle loves traveling, trying new restaurants, and lifting weights, with yoga and Pilates keeping her balanced.
